Become a Member and Support the Shelter!
In the past, membership at HSBC has been focused on whether or not a person has voting rights at shelter board meetings.
While membership does grant voting rights, it's about so much more than that. Membership to the Humane Society of Barron County
shows that you support the shelter and it's mission and that you want to see it succeed. That you're proud of the work we do and while
you may or may not be able to adopt or volunteer, you still want to do your part to help the homeless animals in Barron County. In 2007, membership
pledges made up a sad 2% of our overall income for the year. With a renewed focus away from the political side of "voting rights" we're hoping
to see a much bigger percentage for 2008!
We have three levels of membership and they are as follows:
Gold Supporter - $90 - Five year membership that covers your quarterly newsletter subscription over that time, gives voting rights at meetings, and also
keeps you in the loop of things happening at the shelter through occassional special mailings. Good for those who want to show their support
and don't want the hassle of having to remember to re-up their membership on a yearly basis.
Silver Supporter - $20 - One year membership that covers your quarterly newsletter subscription over that time, give voting rights at meetings, and
keeps you in the loop of things happening at the shelter through occasional special mailings. Good for those who want to show their support
and make a new membership pledge on a yearly basis.
Bronze Supporter - $10 - A one year membership that covers your quarterly newsletter subscription and special events mailing for seniors over
the age of 65 and children under the age of 16. Great for those who are just interested in receiving our newsletter. Makes a great gift
for an aimal loving family member or loved one!
